Magnum Staffing is seeking applicants for Chemical Process Operator .  Chemical process operator positions are classified as processing and production jobs. The chemical process operator is responsible for all chemical mixing, reacting, processing, and packaging operations within the production area. The operator must know and observe all safety procedures, organizational rules, and environmental policies. They are responsible for transferring the products through the various process and storage areas using conveyors, tanks, pumps, valves, and other transfer systems. Pay rate starts at $25

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain equipment, including adjusting controls, oiling or cleaning, and switching to backup operations
• Conduct lab tests and record results like pH, temperature, viscosity, etc.
• Process chemicals by following guidelines and instructions on equipment such as reactors, mixers, pumps, valves, etc.
• Handle and package chemicals safely
• Lift and carry 50 pounds
• Stand (or be on your feet) for 8 hours
• Climb ladders and stairs safely
• Operate heavy machinery
• Simple math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing)

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a physical exam
• Previous experience working in a chemical plant
• Ability to stand for 12 hours with minimal
• Ability to pass a respirator exam
