Job Summary:
Claims Coordinator Lead will report to the Warehouse Manager working closely with the Claims team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Opening and inspecting replacement pieces and for all claims
- All items in wooden crates should not be opened for inspection due to compromising of protective packaging
- Larger heavier items such as beds, dressers, dining tables, sideboards may be opened and inspected at your discretion (ask for assistance if needed) due to potential compromising of protective packaging
- Taking pictures of each replacement piece from various angles with the company iPad and adding to designated folders on One-drive. Save each in folders dated monthly with customer name, sales order number and item number.
- Coordinate with warehouse team to ship out replacement piece/s once inspection completed, photos taken and item/s repackaged as best as possible
- Conducting quality checks of the existing stock as instructed by the Claims Manager
- Keeping ipad on hand and being available on Teams/Email during business hours
- Performing furniture repairs and touch ups with various tools ( furniture touch up pens, leather cleaner, screw drivers, allen-key etc) when needed
- Working independently or as a team, to fulfill department &/or company goals and objectives
- Keeping return & inspection area clean and orderly
- Other responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or Claims Manager
Physical Requirements:
·Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
·This position may require sitting and standing for a long period of time.
Skills Required:
- 2- 3 years of prior claims/ maintenance/handy man/furniture repair experience in an office or warehouse setting
- Strong English communication skills; verbal and written
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Ability to lift 15-35 lbs, walk, climb stairs, and stand for several hours
- Confident using a smartphone and navigating the internet
Able to work a flexible shift if needed
