General Laborer – Industrial Pipe Yard
Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable and hardworking General Laborers to support daily operations at an industrial pipe yard in China Grove, TX. This position involves physical labor, material handling, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting yard and production personnel with various tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, move, and organize industrial pipes and materials.
- Assist with preparing pipe and materials for shipment.
- Use basic hand tools and equipment as instructed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist operators and other yard personnel with daily tasks.
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times.
- Perform general cleanup and housekeeping throughout the yard.
- Inspect materials for visible damage and report issues to supervisors.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work around industrial equipment, pipes, and other materials.
Schedule:
Full-time schedule; specific hours and overtime requirements may vary based on operational needs.
Safety:
All employees are required to follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in the pipe yard.
