Magnum Staffing is seeking applicants for Maintenance Mechanic. Pay rate starts at $22.00

General Functions:

Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment. Such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments. Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.

Responsibilities:

• Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.

• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

• Install special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand tools.

• Start devices to test their performance.

• May initiate purchase order for parts and machines.

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment.

• Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders per instructions.

• Will do both electrical and mechanical repairs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 6 months of related experience and/or training.

• Ability to read, write, and interprets documents.

• Ability to speak effectively before groups.

• Basic algebra and geometry

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

• Vision abilities required such as: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, handle, and reach with hands and arms.
