Job Summary
We are seeking a high-energy Operations & Safety Manager to lead our daily logistics and safety programs. This role is the backbone of our execution, responsible for balancing the logistical demands of dispatch and fleet management with a rigorous commitment to safety. You will serve as the primary link between our customers, our crews, and our safety compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
Operations & Logistics Management
- Dispatch & Scheduling: Manage the daily schedule, crew dispatching, and work order time verification.
- Resource Oversight: Determine staffing requirements for labor services and coordinate employee PTO.
- Fleet Maintenance: Oversee vehicle tracking, preventative maintenance (PM), repairs, and daily/annual inspections.
- Inventory & Assets: Manage rental reservations/returns, invoice verification, and maintain inventory for tools and job-site supplies.
- Contracting: Perform contract reviews with suppliers to ensure operational efficiency.
Safety Leadership & Compliance
- Field Safety: Conduct daily assessments of vehicle and employee safety compliance.
- Hazard Documentation: Responsible for writing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and conducting regular safety meetings.
- Compliance Portals: Maintain and update ISNetworld and Avetta compliance portals.
- Regulatory Standards: Ensure all operations meet OSHA, ISTC, and DISA requirements.
- Documentation: Manage Insurance COI and compliance reviews.
Engagement & Field Support
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain high levels of customer engagement and job site engagement to ensure project quality.
- Crew Support: Provide direct support to field crews, including issue resolution, extra manpower, and emergency supply deliveries.
- Safety Enforcement: Lead safety/supervisor training and strictly enforce all safety protocols.
Personnel & Administration
- Talent Management: Partner with HR for hiring, on-boarding, and disciplinary actions.
- Performance & Standards: Monitor daily attendance, appearance, and uniform standards while managing merit-based recognition.
- Facility Oversight: Oversee general housekeeping and tool organization.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven leadership in operations, specifically managing crews and vehicle fleets.
- Safety Expertise: Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience writing JSAs.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of ISNetworld and Avetta is a significant plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ISTC and DISA location requirements.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to engage professionally with both high-level customers and field labor teams.
