Job description
Job Overview:
Operate press brakes to bend, straighten, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes according to prints and specifications. Ensure quality, safety, and efficient production.
Key Duties
- Read and interpret shop orders, prints, and engineering specifications.
- Set up and align workpieces with dies or cutting blades manually or using hoist.
- Operate press brakes; adjust settings and change dies as needed.
- Inspect and measure parts using rules, gauges, and templates.
- Complete First Piece Inspection sheets and Product Identification Tags.
- Maintain statistical process control charts and quality standards.
- Communicate with team and supervisors to coordinate activities.
- Train new machine operators as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Amada press brake experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- Proficient in print reading, part inspection, and machine setups.
- Ability to perform own setups and use personal tools.
- Strong multitasking and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to follow directions.
- Must be willing to work 2nd shift - 3:30 pm - 12:00 am.
Qualifications
- Team player, open-minded, able to give and receive constructive suggestions.
- Physically capable: stand, walk, reach overhead, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Aggressive work ethic with attention to detail.
