Job description

Job Overview:

Operate press brakes to bend, straighten, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes according to prints and specifications. Ensure quality, safety, and efficient production.

 

Key Duties

• Read and interpret shop orders, prints, and engineering specifications.
• Set up and align workpieces with dies or cutting blades manually or using hoist.
• Operate press brakes; adjust settings and change dies as needed.
• Inspect and measure parts using rules, gauges, and templates.
• Complete First Piece Inspection sheets and Product Identification Tags.
• Maintain statistical process control charts and quality standards.
• Communicate with team and supervisors to coordinate activities.
• Train new machine operators as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

 

Requirements

• 3+ years of Amada press brake experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience
• Proficient in print reading, part inspection, and machine setups.
• Ability to perform own setups and use personal tools.
• Strong multitasking and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to follow directions.
• Must be willing to work 2nd shift - 3:30 pm - 12:00 am.

 

Qualifications

• Team player, open-minded, able to give and receive constructive suggestions.
• Physically capable: stand, walk, reach overhead, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Aggressive work ethic with attention to detail.
