Shipping and Receiving Clerk Jobs in Pearland

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk reports directly to the Facility Manager.
Responsibilities
· Answer and screen incoming calls, routing to the proper individual.
· Greet and direct visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
· Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier packages, and shipping documentation.
· Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, manifests, and related paperwork.
· Provide customers with timely updates on order status, shipping timelines, and tracking information.
· Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email regarding shipping and delivery.
· Coordinate with carriers and vendors for pickups, deliveries, and problem resolution.
· Track, follow up, and report on late or missing shipments.
· Enter receipts and shipments into ERP/inventory systems accurately.
· Verify and file packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping records.
· Assist with cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between system and physical inventory.
· Setup and maintain filing systems (electronic and hard copy) for shipping, receiving, and customer documentation.
· Operate office equipment and maintain an organized front desk area.
· Support compliance with company policies, safety, and applicable regulations.
· Provide administrative assistance to management as required.
Qualifications
· Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and logistics documentation.
· Customer service and professional phone etiquette.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP/inventory management software.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning customer and company records.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
