Magnum Staffing is seeking applicants for Shipping Leads in Houston, TX. Job location is in north Houston area near IAH. Become part of a world class workforce. Pay starts at $17.50
Responsibilities:
- Oversees team members to make sure proper procedures are being carried out by all team members.
- Performs auditing of the shipping board to make sure it is being utilized and correctly updated.
- Helps identify continuous improvement opportunities for shipping process improvements to increase accuracy, quality and efficiency.
- Insure safe work performance of the loaders and shipping teams with full compliance to safety procedures.
- Summarizes / communicates shipping performance information for daily shift reporting.
- Communicates all daily changes with loading team and make sure all needed reports are printed daily.
- Review and carry out all proper SOP’s for the Shipping area on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
- How to operate a radio frequency gun to scan license plates, SKU’s, Locations, and item descriptions
- Safe lifting and material handling techniques in the use of common warehouse equipment
- Safe lifting, turning, stacking techniques in shipping techniquess
- Warehouse concepts of shipping and loading procedures.
- Work well independently and maintain an excellent attendance record
- Working proficiency with Excel, MS Word, Outlook for e-mail
- Work overtime as needed and potentially work different shift schedules as business needs dictate
