Sr. Material Handler Jobs in Pasadena
The Senior Warehouse Material Handler will safely use a specialized forklift to retrieve, place, and move inventory from high-rise warehouse shelving, fulfilling customer orders, and performing other tasks like loading/unloading trucks, maintaining inventory records, and keeping a clean work area. This role requires operating equipment (sit-down forklift) and all other Material handling equipment with precision, attention to detail, good physical stamina, and strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure efficient and accurate warehouse operations.
Material Handling:
· Safely move, relocate, and store products and materials on warehouse shelves using the forklift.
Inventory Management:
· Assist with inventory checks, report any damaged goods, and maintain accurate records of product movements using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Loading & Unloading:
· Assist with loading and unloading materials onto and from delivery trucks.
Safety & Maintenance:
· Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Teamwork & Communication:
· Work effectively with other warehouse staff and supervisors, contributing to a clean and organized work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems
· Understanding of proper stacking and storage methods
Experience:
· Proven experience operating a sit-down and , stand up forklift, and electric pallet jacks
· Forklift certification or ability to be forklift certified (active and valid drivers license).
· Experience operating material handling equipment and RF Scanners
· Experience following safety procedures and regulations
Skills/Abilities:
· Meticulous attention to detail for accurate inventory management and order fulfillment
· Good mechanical aptitude and organizational skills to maintain equipment
· Ability to work independently and as part of team
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
MUST be flexible to work days or evenings as necessary.(6:45 am to 3:30 pm OR 3:30 pm to 11:45 pm) Monday to Friday
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to frequently lift heavy items (up to 50-75 ilbs. Or more), twist, bend, and work in a repetitive manner.
· Willingness to work in various shifts, potentially in cold environments, depending on the facility.
